GCM: Group Credentials Manager

What is the GCM?

The Group Credentials Manager is a special page that can be sent out to groups (Artists, Sponsors, Production Depts, etc.), but not to individuals. So the GCM cannot be used by Volunteers or Guests.

On the back-end of Marcato a number of credentials can be assigned to the group level. Using the GCM it is then possible to add in all the individuals and assign credentials to them accordingly. This can be especially helpful for large groups.

An example could be an audio company. We know that they may bring up to 30 staff members and use up to 25 beds. We can assign those credentials onto the group level for the audio company. We'd then send the company the link to the GCM. Using the GCM, the company would add in all the details for all of the staff members, and apply the necessary credentials to each individual.

We have our GCM set up so that the GCM “buckets” are unapproved, but once assigned to an individual using the GCM, those credentials are auto-approved. For more info see advanced info here.

We can set up an automated email to send the GCM link to various groups. This email can be customized in a lot of different ways. The general point is to send the GCM link.

How to order all your festival tickets

You have been sent a link to order all your festival ticket needs, both for yourself and your partner/children relevant to your specific entitlement. Your unique link will take you to your own order placement page in Marcato. Once on this page you will need to add the credentials “tickets” you will need for each period - Bump In - Festival - Bump Out. Your available tickets are on the right hand side of the screen under Available Credentials.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT ADD YOUR PARTNER OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER TO YOUR FORM IF THEY ARE A VOLUNTEER, OTHER FOG MEMBER OR ANY OTHER CONTACT WITH THE FESTIVAL. ADDING THEM WILL DUPLICATE THEIR PROFILES IN THE SYSTEM - THANKS

You will see that your name appears at the top of the boxes (just under the example: John Smith) Click the Add a new person green + button for each person coming with you. You can use your email for them if you like. They need an email address to receive their Fastpasses (tickets) when approved.

You will then have a box section for each person. Using the “Click to Add” function, add the items that each person will need in each date period. NOTE: FESTIVAL CAMPING ADULT or FESTIVAL CAMPING U18 is the wristband EVERYONE staying onsite needs, regardless of whether cottage or camping. You can use the “Click to Add Multiple” for the Bump In/staff meals if you like.

Below is an example screenshot for myself, my partner and grandkids:

I will be arriving Monday of Bump In and will be staying until Tuesday of Bump Out. In the Bump In boxes, I “Click to Add” the item I need from the menu that drops down.

For my partner and grandchildren I repeat the process in the Festival boxes for what they each need. If your partner and/or children are onsite in Bump In or Bump Out, remember to “Click to Add” in those boxes too. IMPORTANT: When you have completed your order hit the SAVE button at the top left side.

That's about it. If you need any help, just send me an email or give me a call. Your order will then be queued for approval and once that's done your Fastpasses will be emailed. You can print these out which really helps on arrival as these are all scannable directly back into the system. This is crucial for us to keep track of who has arrived and what wristbands have been issued.
